Time For New Jeans Thanks To Skinny Fiber!

It’s a chilly day here in Upstate NY. It’s surprising for August. Craig and I had our wedding around this time in August 2007, and it was really hot. We’re barely hitting 60 degrees today, so I figured it was probably time to get out my jeans.

I’ve lost a little over 35 pounds since I last had those jeans on. So, I had a feeling they were going to be a little bit big. They’re HUGE! I’m not sure how many inches I’ve lost since I stopped doing my measurements after I finished the Skinny Fiber 90 Day Challenge. But, I have tons of extra material in my thighs, and I can easily take them off without unbuttoning them.

I remember the days when I had to lie down on my bed to even get them buttoned!

This is such an amazing feeling, and I’m so excited! I have no idea what size I am right now, but I do know that these jeans are a size 24. I would guess that I’m either an 18 or a 16. I’m probably going to wait until September to buy more jeans, but I will definitely have to buy some new ones. Hopefully I can find a good deal because I’m certainly not stopping now!

I can’t remember if I mentioned this or not, but I was really excited a couple of weeks ago to find that my rings no longer looked like they were choking my fingers. I hadn’t been able to take my wedding ring off in a really long time. I think it might have three or four years since I had it off. A few weeks ago, I was sitting on the couch, and I thought that I would try and see if it would come off. It did!

These are the types of victories that you just can’t measure with a scale. Yes, when I get on my scale and see that the number has gone down, I get really happy. But if you’re like me, you have a hard time seeing weight loss when you look in the mirror regardless of what the scale is telling you. I’ve never really been able to see a difference in myself in the mirror. When my clothes are more loose, and my jeans fit better, those are the types of victories that really let me know that something I’m doing is working.

I’ve done diet and exercise in the past. I’ve never been motivated enough to stick with a program long enough to see the results. Skinny Fiber helps me with that motivation. It’s taken away my cravings for sweet foods and replaced them with cravings for fresh produce and protein. It also gives me a physical burst of energy that helps me want to work out in the mornings and sometimes in the evenings too.

Without Skinny Fiber, I’d still be weighing in at over 250 pounds. This morning, I was at 217, and I know it won’t be long before I’ll be quickly approaching my big goal of being 130. If you’re a regular reader of mine, I’d like to thank you for all of your help in keeping me on the course toward that big goal.

And, hey! If you’re a new reader, welcome to my blog! I hope you’ll check out Skinny Fiber and join me on a weight loss journey of your own!

How Long Until You Begin To Lose Weight On Skinny Fiber?

Image

If you’ve started taking Skinny Fiber, you might be a bit frustrated in the beginning. I know I was frustrated at first. It took me a long time (or so it seemed) to figure out the way I should go about losing weight. I knew the basics. I knew I had to exercise, and start eating better. Those were no-brainers. What threw me, however, was the fact that Skinny Fiber was supposed to be helping me, and it didn’t seem like I was losing weight all that quickly.

Perhaps you’ve had a similar experience.

I want to assure you, however, the weight WILL come off. Maybe, like me, you were diagnosed with PCOS. This has been a struggle for me, and quite honestly, I haven’t thought too much about PCOS until recently, when weight loss began to be a real goal for me. I knew that it could cause problems for people who wanted to lose weight. Actually, it can make it pretty darn near impossible.

Anyhow, here is what I found as I neared the end of my first month with Skinny Fiber. I had my doubts about whether or not it was working, until I woke up one morning and saw that my scale had dropped 4 pounds from the day before. I was blown away! Then, I realized that I had upped my water intake the day before. It makes a difference. You have to drink enough water. How much? Half of your body weight in ounces, is what the experts suggest.

I also realized that it wasn’t doing me any good to eat back my exercise calories. Lose It might tell me that I have 500 calories left to go at the end of the day. I don’t. I need that deficit if I’m going to see a loss.

Finally, it takes time. Skinny Fiber is not a magic pill. It’s not going to begin working immediately, cutting the weight off your body like a knife. What it WILL do, is begin working slowly, restoring the systems in your body that are out of whack and that are keeping you from losing weight. That’s what I found.

By the end of the first month, I started losing at least 2 pounds a week. However, those weeks were on the low end. Most weeks, as long as I listened to my body’s cues and what it needed, I was able to lose more.

Heading Into The Weekend With Skinny Fiber

Here it is, Friday afternoon, and I just now updated my Progress and Goals Page. I developed that page as a way to remain accountable in my goals. However, I’m terrible at updating it. As of this morning, though, I am down to 228.3 from 252.9 back in March. Wow! That’s 24.6 pounds lost so far, and it ain’t over yet, folks.

I did want to write a quick post as we head into the weekend. I’m not sure why, but weekends are a little scary for me sometimes. They are filled with…food that’s bad for me interesting food choices, and options to eat more than I know I should. Inevitably, by the time the weekend is over, I usually put on another pound or two. Now, I know that these one to two pounds are just water weight, and they usually end up coming off again by Tuesday morning. But this weekend I’m determined to choose just a little bit more wisely.

I’m starting by thinking about what I’m going to eat ahead of time. For instance, tonight my husband has a Home run Derby that he’s a part of, and that means we won’t be home during the normal dinner hour. We have a few options, and I’m trying to figure out which one is the best. We can:

  • Eat fast food (full of sodium, and will cause me to gain weight for sure, even though it’s just water weight)
  • Pack our dinners to take with us
  • Eat something quickly before we leave, but it will mean eating a little bit early.

Tomorrow we’re going to my in-laws for my father-in-law’s birthday. I’ve had issues with overeating in social situations before, and when we go to their house, the food is just SO GOOD that it’s hard not to have too much of it. Still, I need to have a plan in place.

Sunday there isn’t much going on, that I know of. Even so, I want to be mindful of what I’m choosing to eat.

I’m determined to make this weekend a little bit better than other weekends by making better food choices and making sure I get my exercise in. Of course, if you’d like to know more about Skinny Fiber, contact me!

What are your plans for this weekend?
